Easy Bake Turmeric Falafel
Falafel made with chick peas provides a high protein meal addition but seem to need a boost in flavor. The addition of turmeric in this easy bake recipe does the trick. There are many health benefits from turmeric and lots of foods to add this great spice and get those benefits, this version of falafel being one.
Since these are baked they are much healthier than the deep fried version we usually make and with the addition of turmeric you get all those health benefits too.
With a 10 minute prep time and 20 minutes to bake this tasty addition to your healthy meal can be ready to serve in just 30 minutes.
1 14-ounce can chickpeas
2 tablespoons aquafaba (liquid from a can of chickpeas)
1 handful fresh cilantro or parsley
1 garlic clove
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 390°F
Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Form balls with your hands.
Bake for 20 minutes.
